Basic tags provide an easy and flexible way to organize tasks. With tags:
- On the Today page, you can easily retrieve all tasks having the same tag using the Tags filter,
- On the Reports page, besides generating reports on tasks, you can also generate a bar or pie chart based on tags.
For instance, you may have several tasks tracking study time on different subjects, e.g., Math, English, etc. To organize these tasks, you can use a Basic tag, "Study."
To create a tag, tap the "Admin" button on the "Today" tab.
Then tap "Tag" to switch from task admin to tag admin mode.
Tap the "+" button on the top right to create a tag.
Users can either select a tag type before tapping the "+" button or select the tag type in the tag edit form.
All tag has a name and a color property.
Now we can assign this tag to tasks.
Now we can use the tag Study to filter out all study-related tasks.
Only tags assigned to the active task will be shown in the list.
Tap the tag to set the filter. After setting the filter, the filter name will be displayed above the filter button.
Also, we can create reports by the tag Study, with the time spent on all underlying tasks aggregated.
