Can't get dropdown tag to work

Hi - I'm trying to create a dropdown tag but it's not working the way I think it's meant to. I created a tag with 4 options separated by line breaks, and set the first one as the default option. I then created a new task, and gave it this tag. When I added the tag, it made me choose one of the 4 options (again, I chose the default). Then when I tap to start, it doesn't prompt me to choose from the dropdown options, it just has the default already assigned.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

  Thank you for using ATracker.

  This behavior is by design. When a task is started, it uses the default option assigned to that task.

  If you would like to use a different option for a specific task entry, you can modify it in either of the following ways:

  Swipe the task to the left and tap the pencil icon to open the task entry edit screen, then change the option.

  Go to the History or Calendar tab, open the task entry, and modify the option there.

  OK thanks for replying. I wish it prompted you to choose when you started the task, but I'll just have to remember to edit
