Preserve line breaks in CSV export?

I'm exporting from the Web Portal to CSV. (I'm uploading time-tracking data into another database.) The exports are working except that newlines in the Notes field seem to be removed. Is there a way to control this? We have lots of notes with multiple "paragraphs" in them (not just a few words or one-liners) and keeping that intact would be helpful.

  Thanks for using ATracker! In the CSV export, each line represents one record. It is not possible to preserve the line break in the current ATracker.

  As a workaround, add some special character beside the linebreak in the note section and then use some Excel macro to convert them back to a line break while processing the CSV file.
