Hiding Search Bar on Today Screen

It's nice to be able to customize the header of the Today screen, but there's 1 element there that I never use, and it's needlessly taking up space for me. Can you please make it possible, in settings, to hide the Search bar from the top of the screen? Thank you. (It might perhaps still remain accessible by scrolling upwards, or something like that – just not visible all the time, as it is now.)
