Alarms Trouble Again?
Has the most recent ATracker version for iOS, from a few days ago, messed up alarms again, like an earlier version back in the spring did? See this thread: https://support.wonderapps.se/hc/en-us/community/posts/360029412934-Notifications-Alarms-Messed-Up-in-Version-10
In the current ATracker version for iOS, when the alarm for a 1-hour task sounds, the only two options for notification actions are "Cancel" or "Stop". I want to do neither – I wish to prolong the task for another hour, so that it again sounds in another hour after 60 minutes exactly.
Can this still be done, as was standard in the previous ATracker version, and for many years before? Thank you.

Sorry for the very late reply! Zendesk does not send notification email to me for this thread, or it get marked as "Spam" in Outlook mail, and I accidentally clear the "Spam" folder.
Here I try to explain how timer works in ATracker.
1. If task has "Reset alarm" enabled, it will show option "Reset" and "Cancel". When user taps "reset", it will prolong the timer to the same duration as originally configured from the moment user tap that button.
2. If task has "Reset alarm" disabled, it will show option "Stop" and "Cancel".
For a period time in the past, we do have a more convenient re-alarm feature. But we found due to a lot of Apple restriction on the notification and as ATracker is not marked as "Alarm clock" app, we cannot provide such feature (e.g. "Snooze") "legally".
We might be able to provide a better solution for users with web subscription, as our server can send push notification to client at whatever rate we want and using our own logic for the timing. But that will conflict with current function and would need user to be connected to internet always. Also, it will not work with normal users which does not have data stored on our server.
To conclude, we are not happy with current solution, but we have not found a better one yet.
We will keep evaluating all possibilities and hopefully we can find a better one in future.
Thanks for reading and sorry for the inconvenience!

I can now confirm that in the current iOS version, alarms have stopped working in the same way they did earlier in this spring of 2019, as reported in the previous thread. It's the same bug, returned to the iOS version. Please restore the original alarms functionality, if possible. I'm really missing the option to hear the hourly chime for my 1-hour tasks. Thank you.

Problems continue in the most recent ATracker versions, too.
Weirdly, for a short 5-minute task, after it's over, ATracker does sound the alarm and offer the 2 buttons needed: Reset Alarm and Cancel.
But for my 1-hour tasks, which is where I need this most, ATracker only offers these 2 buttons: Stop or Cancel. The option I need, Reset Alert, is not available.
Thank you if you can fix this.

Hi, is there going to be a fix for the dysfunctional alarms on iOS? As it is, I need to reset the 1-hour task manually every single hour, on the hour, so that I get to hear the alarm at the top of the hour again in 60 minutes' time. You can imagine how frustrating and time-consuming that is...
Thank you for any help.

Thanks a lot, Jian! The solution no. 1 is perfectly fine for me. I just didn't know it existed! I guess that "Re-alert" option for individual tasks is something relatively new in ATracker? I never knew it was there. Funnily enough, I had it enabled for some tasks, but not for others. I have no idea how that happened. But I didn't have it enabled for the task where I need it most (because I perform it on an hourly basis), and it was driving me crazy. Especially because that "Reset" option was showing up for other (non-hourly) tasks where I don't need it that urgently. Now it's clear why!

Well, it's weird. You mentioned in the older thread on this issue that the code for the alarm functionality was re-written around October 2018, which is when alarms stopped working for me properly the first time around. Perhaps something got messed up with the "Re-alert" option being checked on/off for some of my tasks back then, too.
But later in 2018 it started working properly again, which is why I was mystified by it malfunctioning in 2019 once more. I'm sure I haven't touched the settings for my individual tasks in the meantime – it was just that (as stated above in the opening post of the current thread) following an ATracker update, the alarms stopped working again.
Anyway, I have now (re-)enabled the "Re-alert" option for the tasks (mostly hourly ones) where I need it, and hopefully everything will be working fine from now on, like it did following your fix after the initial October 2018 troubles. Thank you.
